Keith:

I see nothing all that peculiar in the September 11 coincidences.  I'm convinced if the attack had occurred on September 10th or 12th the same kind of list of suggestive coincidences could be built up.

But there's another rather cracked aspect to this kind of numerological paranoia, and I think there's good reason the writer of the article shouldn't be so excited about suggesting some kind of prophecy latent in the 9/11 attack.  Say for example that Jesus was indeed born on September 11th, 3 B.C.  And say that there are 11 letters in the English (but note: not the Aramaic or Greek) version of the name "Jesus Christ".  What is all this supposed to suggest finally?  That Jesus is somehow mysteriously connected to the attack on 9/11?  That He was behind it?

The writer of the article also mentions "the crosses found standing in the ruins of the WTC."  Given the amount of rubble (and given that most structures depend on beams welded together at right angles), I think it would have been a miracle if no crosses were found standing.  How is it these superstitious people don't seem to realize this?

And then the following:

There is another oddity we noted in our research. On September 11, 1772, about 300 Indians and 50 British soldiers began the siege of Fort Henry. This would be the last battle of the American Revolution. Researchers and historians of this siege are puzzled by the meaning of a comment in a document describing these events. It was recorded in a letter written by Lydia Cruger (11 letters), and it seems a fitting comment to this section. She wrote, "The siege commenced about sun an hour high, Monday, 11th, at all events, the 11th."

I'm sorry, but I just don't believe that "researchers and historians" are puzzled by the meaning of of Ms. Cruger's sentence.  Read the sentence again: Most likely Ms. Cruger is simply indicating that she isn't quite sure the day was a Monday, but that she is sure it was the 11th.

The main pecularities I see in the 9/11 attacks are that they were pulled off successfully and that there was no U.S. air response during the whole course of the attacks.  But that's another issue.  Apropos of which, did anyone notice that there are 11 letters in both George W. Bush and Dick B. Cheney?  And that if you add their I.Q.s together you get 119, which is 9/11 backwards?  Did anyone notice this?

Cheers,

Eric
